ANSYS 13.0 Family of Products |
|
ANSYS 13.0 software is the latest advancement of ANSYS, Inc.'s broad portfolio of simulation technologies, offering new and enhanced tools and capabilities that enable customers to complete jobs efficiently and fully leverage Simulation Driven Product Development. This release represents the further organic outgrowth of existing ANSYS multiphysics, analysis, optimization, meshing and multibody dynamics solutions. It is a continuation of ANSYS Inc.'s decades-long commitment to deliver innovation best-in-class CAE products.
ANSYS 13.0 Mechanical Solutions
The ANSYS
Mechanical family of products offers a full depth of analysis from concept
simulation to advanced analysis; its breadth of simulation capabilities ranges
from linear to nonlinear coupled physics analysis. The software provides
simulation tools used widely across industry by designers to advanced analysts,
providing a full complement of nonlinear and linear elements, material laws
ranging from metal to rubber, and the most comprehensive set of solvers
available.
ANSYS 13.0 Multiphysics Solutions
The ANSYS®
Multiphysics solution provides the analysis industrys most
comprehensive coupled physics tool combining structural, thermal, CFD, acoustic
and electromagnetic simulation capabilities in a single software product. With
the ANSYS Multiphysics solution, users can realize the benefits of the core
physics of the entire ANSYS simulation suite in one convenient package.
Applications include rotating machines (motors and alternators), sensors and
actuators, power generators and transformer systems, and micro-electro
mechanical systems (MEMS).
ANSYS 13.0 Electromagnetics Solutions
ANSYS Emag
software addresses the analysis needs of the low-frequency electromagnetics
market (electric motors, relays, solenoids, toroids, induction heating,
accelerators, geophysical/medical instruments and magnet design). ANSYS Emag
can be used as an independent package or in combination with other ANSYS®
software suite products, such as ANSYS® Mechanical, to enable even
more comprehensive simulation of real-world phenomena.
ANSYS Multiphysics software addresses the analysis needs of both low- and high-frequency electromagnetic markets. This technology contains all the features of the ANSYS Emag product plus high-frequency full-wave solver and many other physics capabilities.
ANSYS 13.0 Computational Fluid Dynamics
For more
than 20 years, companies around the world have trusted ANSYS® CFX®
technology to contribute to their successes. ANSYS has considerable expertise
in using simulation-driven design to improve performance for pumps, fans,
turbines, compressors and other rotating machinery, and the company has
incorporated this into all elements of ANSYS CFX software, making it a leader
in this demanding field. Specialized models for combustion, reacting flows and
radiation, among others, help provide the insight into equipment and processes
required to increase production, improve product longevity and decrease
waste.
ANSYS Fluid-Solid Interaction
The ANSYS FSI solution
provides designers and analysts with the most flexible and advanced coupled
structural-fluid physics analysis tool available. Fluid structure interaction
is required for many industry applications, such as bio-medical (elastic artery
modeling for stent design), aerospace (foil flutter) and civil engineering
(wind loading of structures). There is a complete spectrum of fluid structure
interactions that are important in industry. FSI simulation is steadily gaining
importance as business drivers push designers to make their products lighter,
more flexible, easier to manufacture, while maintaining or improving quality
and reliability.
ANSYS Meshing Solutions
From easy automatic meshing to
highly crafted mesh, ANSYS, Inc. provides the ultimate meshing solution.
ANSYS® technologies provide powerful pre- and post-processing tools for
mesh generation from any geometry source, to produce almost any element type,
for nearly any physics, for virtually any application.
ANSYS Add-on Modules
ANSYS®
DesignModeler - Modeling and geometry editing tailored for simulation
- creating design models is a core part of the product development process and
the first step in the simulation process. These models can be of a geometry
form representing the actual design detail, or they can be an approximation of
the design using simplified components like beams and plates.
ANSYS
Mechanical HPC - ANSYS Mechanical HPC brings together a wide variety of
high-performance computing (HPC) solutions together, including ANSYS® VT
Accelerator and parallel computing.
Mesh Morphing - By
working with a mesh and not the solid model, the ANSYS Mesh Morpher allows
parameterization of models created from CAD data, nonparametric geometry data
such as IGES or STEP, or mesh files such as the ANSYS .cdb file. Read a mesh
into FE Modeler and then create an initial configuration to synthesize geometry
from the existing mesh.
Drop Test - Product drop tests present
users with unique parameters for simulation and analysis. The ANSYS® Drop
Test module further enhances an ANSYS® LS-DYNA license by
adding a complement of loads and conditions tailored specifically for such
analyses.
ANSYS
DesignXplorer software enables Robust Design (Design for Six Sigma) by allowing
the user to define both design variables and uncertainty variables, and then to
optimize a set of reliability goals for quantities such as fatigue life, stress
or deflection.
